could do the job since they are reasonably small and are relatively easy to mount (ie., drill hole, glue to back of signal assembly, wire and then fully seal with some RTV. Would probably need 3 each on on left and right sides. Main issue would be picking a LED output color that looks somewhat normal. Note: LEDs also have specific voltage limitation issues (ie., maxes out at 3volts) so they can't be just wired directly to the car's +12v system. This is not a big deal but something that has to be considered.... Just throwing the Luxeon LEDs out as an idea -- so would need some further thought and planning....
